I am Thorsten Zobel, photographer from Frankfurt am Main. Since I love being outside, I mainly focus on photographing the night sky, landscapes and nature. Beyond that, I generally enjoy photography and no matter where I go, my camera is usually with me. So I always end up with motifs from other genres. Not least from my home city of Frankfurt, whose character I try to capture.
The vision I pursue in my photography is to reflect the character of my subject – be it the landscape, the night sky or a flower – in a picture. It is never possible to reproduce reality faithfully, but it is possible to capture the feeling or mood in pixels. That is my goal!
I publish my work and post regularly on social media. If you like my work, feel free to follow me! In my opinion, however, the big social media platforms in particular do not have a good influence on the work of artists. For this reason, you will find me mainly on smaller platforms, with alternative and innovative approaches. On Substack, I mainly write about the story behind my pictures, while my focus on Mastodon and Cara is on the pictures themselves.
